Quotes and Facts

Cocaine Anonymous began in Los Angeles in 1982, and has since expanded throughout the United States and Canada, with groups now forming in Europe. Our literature is available in English, French, and Spanish and our first book "Hope, Faith and Courage: Stories from the Fellowship of Cocaine Anonymous" was published in 1994. As of 1996, we estimated our membership at 30,000 members in over 2,000 groups.

Volunteer Opportunities Print E-mail

Volunteering to help the Westside Club is a great way to be of service. We are always looking for volunteers — especially for club the events. You will stay away from your addiction, meet new people, and contribute.

Other organizations working with substance abuse need help too. Check out our recovery resources page to see a list of recovery resource links to contact them to see about volunteer opportunities.

To be included on a list of Twelve Steppers or to volunteer to work the AA hotline for WAIA (training is provided), go to the WAIA Web site and contact them for more information.

For those of you who want to volunteer, or for institutions who want the Westside Club to post a volunteer opportunity, stop by the snack bar or call 202-333-0218.

Services at the Westside Club Print E-mail

The Westside Club not only is a place for fellowship, but it also is a great resource center for the recovery community. We provide the following services:

Three meeting rooms. Anyone from any 12 step recovery program can start a new meeting. All you need to do is contact the Club management at 202-333-0218 and someone will get back with you to help you set up your meeting.

Twelve step and recovery related events. The Westside Club has the facilities to host seminars, workshop, recovery related parties, or any other recovery-related event. We are proud to open these events up to the recovery community.

Literature. Need a Big Book, 12 and 12,  or a Where and When? Recovery literature is available at club. Go to the snack bar to see the titles available.

Coffee and Snack Bar. The club has a great snack bar that serves Starbucks (or non Starbucks) coffee, tea, juice, soda, and a variety of snacks.

The Club also offers fellowship  and volunteer opportunities. We are always looking for people to help out who need a service position. You can stop by the snack bar or see the club manager to make yourself available for volunteering.
