Westside Club

Quotes and Facts

Cocaine Anonymous began in Los Angeles in 1982, and has since expanded throughout the United States and Canada, with groups now forming in Europe. Our literature is available in English, French, and Spanish and our first book "Hope, Faith and Courage: Stories from the Fellowship of Cocaine Anonymous" was published in 1994. As of 1996, we estimated our membership at 30,000 members in over 2,000 groups.

Welcome to the Westside Club E-mail

Westside ClubThe West Side Club of Georgetown, Inc., is a private non-profit organization formed to provide a space where 12 step groups can meet. Whether you are the the one stricken from the disease of alcoholism or addiction or if you are coping with a loved one who is still suffering, you have a place to go for recovery. The club is an educational center, a meeting place for 12 step groups, and a fun, positive social environment for those seeking recovery. Not only are we a facility that provides space for meetings, we also provide literature, serve as a resource hub for recovery, offer a snack bar and organize social and fund raising events. Although many AA 12 step groups hold their meetings here, and the club recognizes and subscribes to the principles and traditions of AA; we are all inclusive and welcome any type of 12-Step groups (NA, OA, CA, Al-anon, GA, etc.) to start meetings and use the space available.

Listen to Joe and Charlie Tapes Here E-mail
Written by Administrator

The Joe and Charlie big book tapes have been floating around AA for years. Meetings have been formed because of them, the tapes have been passed along and shared among members, and controversy and discussions about AA traditions ensued. What was so wonderful about their active service is that it motivated many people into action, recovery, and forming opinions about AA and its traditions. Check out this brief summary about Joe and Charlie and the tapes if you are interested in a little history.
